A picture from a shoot few days ago, my client will get a more punchy saturated image as requested; meanwhile I edited this photo to have a different feel to it, soft and kinda classic vintage. If I had a restaurant, my menu would be thick with gorgeous images of food with pastel colour as the borders ..something like this.

Well well well, it’s been almost 2 months since I last posted something. You know the feeling that there are so many things to do and you only want to crawl inside a cave to ease your mind and set priorities which to do first..no? never had that feeling? well I guess it’s just me then .

Things which had occupied my mind the past few weeks: logo for CatchChee Images, it’s finally done with the help of a talented designer, Milena in Brazil. Glad that I found her, I wanted something not cliche but yet still describes ‘me’, I described a few elements that I hoped she could incorporate and come up with something simple yet ..complex lol Not an easy task definitely but she came up with amazing designs that speak to me. I love the initial design that she came up with, if I could have two logos I would have coz they’re gorgeous. One of the things that swayed me to the final design (3rd revision I think) was the ability to detach the main logo and leave out the business name should I choose to for certain purposes. I’ll post the logo once I have a few things ready and tell you how to contact Milena too .Things that are in the queue atm are revamping this blog, work on my colour scheme, changing the banner, get businesscards printed with the new logo, revised contract as well as pricing. I have just secured a newish album supplier as the one in Oz was a no go for me due to very expensive shipping charge being one of the factors. I’m not compromising the quality at all with the one I’m going for, will put some pictures up once I get it .

These couple of weeks, I have had my work published in two magazines Yay! Worked on a restaurant menu and I have a food shoot coming up pretty soon. Am in the middle of finishing up a pretty lengthy project, time to wrap the whole thing up as it’s taking a bit more than it should due to some changes. Probably will take me an additional 10-20 hours. I need to revise a few things after this project .

Can’t believe we’re already 12 days into the new year, been so busy with full packed wedding events and had just covered another sanding event on Sunday. Now comes the laborious part; the editing stage, the wrong aka trying to be smarty pants editing can mess up the whole picture definitely. Something I just tried out, does this editing work?

Farewell 2009

It’s been a great year, the highlights of 2009 for me are working for a tv programme under Discovery, had the opportunity to get on a private plane and flown on it. All in the name of work . Few days ago, I have just completed a project for a Ministry which took me more than a month plus plus, gaining access to places which I wouldn’t have otherwise.

I have two more weddings coming up within the next two weeks and then I’ll be taking a long break and restructuring my services. I’ll be doing more portrait sessions, commercial and corporate events and that’s most likely to leave me with not a lot of time left for wedding coverage. I may only take one per month or every two month next year…another reason being I want to grow as a photographer. It’s like if you stay in one place all the time, that’s all you get to know. I want to venture into different field, some things I just got to get my hands dirty to have a feel of it, big difference in knowing/reading and actually doing it.
